14 key Ludlow hotel expected to fetch £1.4 million in sale

Offers in the region of £1.4 million are expected to buy Overton Grange Hotel and Spa in Ludlow, an affluent market town in the heart of Shropshire.

The 14 bedroom property, which was build in 1905, is currently operating as a three-star hotel, and is a popular destination for weddings and business meetings.

Peter Brunt, hotel specialist at Colliers International, which is handling the sale, says Ludlow’s growing reputation as a food lover’s destination will make the hotel an attractive and lucrative asset.

“Overton Grange has more than enough going for it in terms of its own special facilities and superb location – but it also taps into custom attracted by Ludlow’s growing reputation as one of the leading foodie hotspots in the country.”

“Excellent owners’ accommodation and healthy profits from a half million pound resident trade turnover suggest an outstanding opportunity to take over the reins of a highly promising business.”

The hotel is set in 3.5 acres of grounds and has views over South Shropshire. It has undergone an extensive renovation programme and includes a comfortably furnished reception lounge, bar and breakfast room with seating for 24.

There is also a spa featuring a new indoor pool, sauna and health and beauty facilities.
