After last week’s AA Hospitality Awards recognised some of the best in the industry, a selection of hotels up and down the country are celebrating once again after being awarded AA Red Stars.
The Red Five Star is the top accolade and this year was given to just one hotel, The Egerton House Hotel in London.
Four hotels were awarded the Red Four Star, including Bedford Lodge in Newmarket and Amberley Castle in Amberley.
The AA has been rating and recommending hotels for more than 100 years and each year it selects the best hotels in each rating.
The Red Star hotels have been identified as being the very best in Britain.
The following hotels have been awarded:
New Red Five Star
• The Egerton House Hotel, London
New Red Four Star
• Buckland Manor, Buckland
• Bedford Lodge, Newmarket
• Beechfield House Hotel, Beanacre
• Amberley Castle, Amberley
Head of AA Hotel Services, Simon Numphud, said: “The criteria for AA Red Stars is consistent excellence in all areas of a hotel’s operation, and these newly awarded properties join an elite group of top performers within the hotel industry. It is encouraging to see that there are still so many hotels pushing the boundaries and striving for high standards and excellent quality”.
The new Red Stars were awarded at the AA Hospitality Awards held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
