Skene House which operates three sites in Aberdeen has retained the number one spot for the city’s listings on travel website TripAdvisor for the fifth consecutive year.
Skene House Whitehall came top of the list whilst sister venue Skene House Rosemount is currently at number two.
The Skene House collection of properties occupy prime locations in Aberdeen city centre, namely Skene House Whitehall, Skene House Rosemount and Skene House Holburn. All three venues pride themselves on a relaxing, “home from home” atmosphere, the group says.
Skene House Whitehall offers 49 studios, one, two and three bedroom apartments. Private gardens are designed to enhance the location’s feel of offering “an oasis in the city yet one which lies within easy reach of the city centre”, Skene House say.
Business owner Professor Charles P. Skene OBE has a long interest and history of support for tourism for many years, having been a member of the Scottish Tourist Board consultative committee in the mid-1970s. The group say he has long believed that tourism is important to Aberdeen and North East Scotland, and is even more so in view of the current downturn in oil and gas.
Commenting on the achievement of Skene House, he said: “The feedback we receive from our customers via channels such as TripAdvisor is very important to us as we strive to offer services of a consistently high standard.
“To hold the number one spot in Aberdeen for five years is an excellent achievement and is testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone at Skene House Whitehall whose raison d’etre is to make visits to Aberdeen an enjoyable experience.”
