Accor doubles the size of its boutique network

Accor Hotels has announced the signing of a new boutique property in Manchester, which as a result will see the hotel operator double the number of rooms within its ibis Styles brand.

The new hotel, ibis Styles Manchester Portland Street, will bring the total number of bedrooms under the Styles umbrella to 2,031 across the UK and Ireland.

The hotel will be operated under a management agreement with Amaris Hospitality and will open in summer 2016 after a £3m refurbishment to bring the property in line with the brand standards of ibis Styles.

Next year also sees the launch of a newly refurbished ibis Styles Southwark Rose and the opening of ibis Styles Reading, Oxford Road.

Thomas Dubaere, managing director AccorHotels UK & Ireland said: “The openings throughout 2015 strengthen our presence and demonstrate our commitment to strengthening the portfolio across our economy segment. The significant increase in the number of rooms under the ibis Styles brand to 2,031 is another important step in our ambitious expansion plans for our UK network.

We are also proud to open our second Jamboree in the UK following its successful launch in London proving our ability to open stand-alone F&B offerings with our key partners.”
