Accor Hotels has announced the acquisition of its newest budget boutique hotel in Reading, marking Accor’s fourth hotel in the area.
The hotel operator has completed on a franchise agreement for the new ibis Styles Reading Oxford Road hotel, which will see a new 97-bedroom open by the end of the year after an extensive renovation programme.
The new ibis Styles will be operated under a franchise agreement with Habro properties Ltd and managed by Interstate Hotels & Resorts.
The brand’s boutique arm was launched to be design-led and individual, with each hotel situated in key cities and interiors inspired by its local area. Simplicity, interactivity, quality and conviviality are the brand’s core values.
There are currently nine ibis Styles in the UK, out of a total of 293 hotels in 25 countries worldwide.
