Administrators have called in Colliers International to sell a country inn on the Somerset-Wiltshire border, which has gone on the market for £350k.
The Full Moon at Rudge, which dates back to 1690 when it was used as coaching inn, now is home to five bedrooms and a function room, as well as a two or three bed flat for the owners.
Situated in the village of Lower Rudge, the property is 20 minutes from Bath and within convenient proximity of Longleat Safari Park and the nearby towns of Frome, Trowbridge and Westbury.
The Full Moon is being marketed by Colliers International on behalf of administrators at £350k for the freehold.
Ed Jefferson from Colliers International said: “The business is presently being run with a management company in place which has kept things ticking over, but the property is ready for the next chapter in its history.
“It has a loyal clientele, a large function room, and has previously achieved good levels of sales, suggesting it would do well in the hands of ambitious new owners looking to develop a destination pub.
“Pubs with rooms don’t come up for sale that often in this part of the world, and there is considerable scope for owner-operators to develop the business and become part of the community in this highly desirable area.”
