Nanny Brow, an Arts & Crafts hotel located in Ambleside, is celebrating its fourth year of opening, having built up steady success since it launched in 2011.
The luxury five-star venue opened in 2011 after an extensive refurbishment to transform the property into a 14-bedroom Arts & Crafts gem.
The hotel has seen a 60% increase in turnover in the two years from 2012 with a further increase of 10% forecast for this year.
Nanny Brow has also recently undergone a management change, with owner Susan Robinson promoting her daughter from the role of assistant hotel manager to take the helm at the property.
Emma Robinson has worked at the hotel since its takeover four years ago, starting as a chamber maid.
Susan Robinson comments: “We started looking for a new hotel manager last month, but it soon became clear that the best person for the job was already with us.” she said. “Emma is bright, articulate and excellent with the customers, so the promotion was very natural. We look forward to her increased contribution to the business as we enter our fifth year of trade.”
