A popular hotel and wedding venue in Anglesey has gone on the market with Christie + Co off a guide price of £1.250m.
Carreg Bran, located in 3.3 acres on the Isle of Anglesey, North Wales, is a 29-bedroom hotel that occupies a detached two-storey building.
It has recently undergone extensive renovations in a bid to make it one of the top hospitality businesses in the area.
The current owners are looking to retire after being at the helm for the past two years and investing a considerable amount in the upgrade of the property.
Planning permission has also been granted to expand the hotel with extra bedrooms, conference rooms and a leisure facility.
Carreg Bran is popular with locals and tourists and enjoys strong trade from mid-week business visitors. It has also built up a steady reputation as a popular wedding venue in the area.
Keith Stringer of Christie + Co’s Manchester office is handling the sale and comments: “Despite the current owners’ looking to retire, they have made considerable investment in the business over the past two years and any new owner could benefit from further opportunities to extend and develop the accommodation. Planning permission has previously been obtained and implemented to include additional bedrooms, conference and banqueting facilities and a leisure complex with indoor swimming pool.”
The hotel is available freehold and Christie + Co is inviting offers with a guide price of £1,250,000, alternatively a leasehold may be available at a premium of £125,000 and initial rental of £65,000 per annum.
