A boutique hotel in Wolverhampton has announced the completion of its extensive refurbishment after three years.
The Mount Hotel in Wolverhampton has been restored to its original Victorian grandeur, with all of the hotel’s bedrooms and public areas given a complete makeover.
The Grade-II listed manor house now also boasts a contemporary award-winning restaurant and a stylish Champagne bar, as well 65 modernised guest rooms.
Since 2011 the hotel has been gradually updated and now the new look is proving popular with both guests and critics. The Mount Hotel’s restaurant was a finalist in England and Wales’ Great Food Awards since its relaunch, while the hotel alone has seen a rise in visitor numbers and recognition by TripAdvisor and Laterooms.
Owner Scott Bernard commented: “The refurbishment has taken three years due to not interrupting weddings and functions at the hotel and we have used only the finest designs and top quality trades in order to ensure our product far exceeds the standards set by the modern traveller.”
Bernard continued: “We’ve opened a fantastic restaurant and are proud to be the setting for both business and leisure guests, in addition to offering the perfect setting to tie the knot!”
