The Best Western-branded Banbury House Hotel has been sold for £2.3m.

The original asking price for the 64-key property on the edge of the Cotswolds was £2.6m.

Agent Peter Brunt of Colliers, who handled the sale on behalf of vendors Paul and Anna Galvin, declined to disclose the name of the buyer but said the property would continue to be run as a hotel.
