Bannatyne Group has announced the appointment of a new general manager at Charlton House Hotel and Spa in Somerset.
The hotel has welcomed Guillaume Lesage to the role, having been in the food and beverage sector for nearly 30 years.
His background includes working at manager and director level at four- and five-star independent and chain hotels, including Hotel du Vin, Accor Hotels and Q Hotels.
Speaking on his appointment, Lesage said: “I am passionate about delivering the best results and customer experience possible and I thrive on new challenges and opportunities.
“I am looking forward to building on the success of Charlton House, which has an enviable reputation as one of the top country house hotels in the South West of England and beyond.
“I will be leading it to the next level with the emphasis on luxury, relaxation and indulgence alongside outstanding customer service.”

Charlton House, in Shepton Mallet, was the winner of the AA Breakfast Award 2017 and last year its restaurant was awarded coveted AA Two Rosette status for the third time.
With 69 sites across the UK the Bannatyne Health Clubs brand is owned by ‘Dragon’ Duncan Bannatyne, known for his appearances on the BBC programme Dragons’ Den. The company has more than 200,000 members and employs in the region of 3,000 people.
