The founder of some of Berlin’s most stylish boutique hotels has opened a new hotel in London in the heart of Soho.
Lutz Strangemann, founder of the international real estate company Land Union Group, has launched Mimi’s Soho, a 58-bedroom boutique on Frith Street.
Set across six floors, the new-build property’s interior has been developed by KDesign, a regular collaborator for other hotels in the Land Union Group.
Each bedroom is categorised into one of four groups, from tiny single to Mimi’s Lux, with all rooms said to focus on ‘intelligent design, luxurious materials and high-end finishes’, coming with noise insulation and under-floor heating.
On the ground floor is Henson’s Bar & Social, with drinks curated by Mimi’s resident mixologist, Adrien, who joins from the Experiemental Cocktail Club.
Strangemann comments: “We invest a great deal of passion in our projects, especially when it comes to hotels. Currently we are looking to develop further hotels in London and our first hotel in Manhattan. Our experience in real estate combined with our construction capabilities allows us to create exciting products in prime locations.”
