Surrey coaching inn, The Talbot at Ripley, has rejoined Bespoke Hotels after a three-year break.
The hotel, set on Ripley High Street in close promiximity to London and both Gatwick and Heathrow airports, was originally part of Bespoke Hotels group until August 2012.
It then came under the leadership of Marco Pierre White, before being passed to Jupiter Hotels in April 2014.
Now the 43-bedroom historic property has been reunited with Bespoke Hotels, which has become the UK’s largest independent hotel group.
Steeped in history, the hotel was reportedly the place where Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton’s love affair first blossomed.
The Talbot at Ripley has recently been renovated in a bid to become one of the England’s finest coaching inns and now consists of 43 bedrooms, alongside conference space for up to 120 delegates.
Graham Marskell, managing director of Bespoke Hotels commented: “We are delighted to be resuming our stewardship of The Talbot. It’s a property brimming with personality, which adds both character and history to our portfolio. We look forward to investing in the property and enhancing its appeal together with the hotel team.”
