Boutique B&B reopens after extensive five-month makeover

The 25 Boutique B&B in Torquay has reopened after an extensive five-month refurbishment to transform the hotel into a modern six-bedroom haven by the sea.

The hotel, formerly Glenross Guest House, closed in November before undergoing a complete makeover that saw all its bedrooms, public areas and dining space reworked.

It reopened in March as the rebranded The 25 Boutique B&B.

Owned by award-winning hoteliers, Andy and Julian Banner-Price, who moved from North Wales to Torquay in July 2014 for a new challenge, The 25 Boutique B&B now consists of four bedrooms and two suites, complete with a new guest lounge and breakfast room.

It was previously home to ten bedrooms.

Each of the individually-styled bedrooms also comes with Netflix installed on the television, high speed WiFi, an Apple TV and in-room iPads, with nods to the building’s Edwardian history throughout.

The duo also used local contractors for plumbing, bathroom fitting, plastering and joinery and sourced as much as possible locally or from within the UK.
