Boutique boss at Le Manoir moves to Macdonald

A Dutch hotelier with more than 20 years’ experience in the boutique hotel market has moved from Le Manoir to become general manager at a Macdonald hotel in Aberdeenshire.

Pim Wolfs has been appointed GM at Macdonald Pittodrie House, and joins the group after six and a half years at Raymond Blanc’s flagship, Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, on the outskirts of Oxford.

Wolfs is aiming to bring his knowledge and expertise of the luxury sector at Le Manoir to his new role, in a bid to create a new level of excellence within the brand.

Speaking to Sbn Aberdeen, Wolfs said: “Le Manoir is synonymous with outstanding dining and the highest class of hospitality, making it the perfect training ground for my new role.”

Wolfs went on to say that both properties share a similar ethos, in areas such as sustainability, local supply chain and seasonality.

Le Manoir is famous for its fantastic and vast kitchen garden, something which Macdonald Pittodrie House is keen to emulate with its own outdoor offering.
