The Lucky Onion, the Cotswolds-based family of hotels and restaurants, has announced the appointment of a new executive chef, who joins from Soho Farmhouse.
Ronnie Bonetti will work across all the Lucky Onion properties, including the group’s flagship boutique hotel No.131, curating the menus and managing the kitchens, working alongside co-founder Sam Pearman to develop the offering.
Bonetti spent a total of eight years with the Soho House group, joining in 2008 as head chef at Babington House. His most recent role was executive chef at Soho Farmhouse.
Now in his new position at Lucky Onion, as well as No. 131, Bonetti will work across Georgian townhouse No.38 The Park and restaurant The Tavern, all located in Cheltenham, as well as the group’s Cotswold pubs The Wheatsheaf Inn, The Chequers and The Wild Duck.
Pearman said: “It was with this in mind that The Lucky Onion family has welcomed Ronnie as executive chef. His extensive experience both in the UK and further afield will be invaluable to us and we are thrilled to have him on board. His style matches ours, and his dedication to local, seasonal produce as well as his love of true comfort food is something which marries well with our philosophies.”
Bonetti said: “I’m really excited to be joining The Lucky Onion. Their hotels and restaurants in Cheltenham and the Cotswolds are all fantastic, and I can’t wait to get to know the team here, and work with some brilliant local producers to create some great tasting new dishes.”
