The Lake View restaurant at The Inn on the Lake in Ullswater has been awarded two AA Rosettes for a third consecutive year.
Awarded to eateries for their innovative and high quality food offering, the two AA Rosettes give a nod to the work that head chef, Eddie Kilty and his team at the Lake View Restaurant, do to produce an outstanding seasonal menu.
The team was first recognised in 2012 and since then have continued to impress with their artistic flair in the kitchen.
Dani Hope, marketing director, said: "We are over the moon to have maintained the two AA rosette status for the third year running. The accolade from the AA reflects the consistent high standards we aim for.”
The AA inspector who graded the hotel dined on pan seared scallops, textures of cauliflower, black pudding fritter and pancetta foam, followed by Asian marinated salmon with spaghetti vegetables, pak choi, with crispy salt & pepper squid and a Thai infused broth.
After which he commented that the Inn on the Lake have continued to produce a strong menu, showing seasonality, creativity, not to mention the technical abilities that have gone into various dishes.
Head chef Eddie Kilty commented: “It was a proud moment to hear that we had retained our two AA Rosette award. We have built up a strong reputation and there is a lot of pressure to keep the standard high.”
