The third year of the Boutique Hotelier Personal Service Star Awards will be held on October 18 2016, with a couple of major new additions set to bring even more prestige to the must-attend hospitality event.
The Awards, which celebrates staff working in boutique, independent and lifestyle hotels up and down the country, will return once again on the first day on the Independent Hotel Show and be held at London’s Hilton Olympia, just a stone’s throw from the exhibition venue itself.
This year for the first time, a judging panel will decide on the winners of each award, which will be formed of top names from the hospitality industry spanning a range of expertise and experience.
Also new for this year is the addition of a new category, with the title of General Manager of the Year up for the grabs for the first time this year.
Plus the Awards are now sporting a brand new logo and look to bring a new edge to the event.
Launched in October 2014, the Boutique Hotelier Personal Service Star Awards will now recognise the efforts of staff in a total of 11 categories, with the nominations process set to officially open in July.
The Personal Service Star Awards are the only ones of their kind that are solely focused on celebrating those staff members who go above and beyond each and every day to give exceptional service to guests.
Rather than handing out gongs to the owners and business managers, Boutique Hotelier wants to recognise those working tirelessly in an industry that often comes without praise and high pay.
Speaking about the launch of this year’s awards, Zoe Monk, Editor, Boutique Hotelier magazine says: “This year marks the start of an exciting new era for our Personal Service Star Awards, which are going from strength to strength. We’ve brought in the format of a judging panel for 2016 to raise the bar even further and to help take the event to the next level.
“The Awards have become a firm fixture in the diaries of hotel owners and general managers since its launch in 2014 and we want to continue to reward these hard working individuals at hotels all over the country who help make our industry so great.”
Following the launch year of the Boutique Hotelier Personal Service Star Awards in 2014, last year was deemed another huge success, with more than 300 members of the hospitality industry coming together to celebrate the crème da le crème of the sector.
Keep an eye out for details of the nomination process, which will officially open on July 11th.
