Some of the hospitality industry’s top dogs from the boutique, lifestyle and luxury sectors are gearing up to attend the annual Boutique Lifestyle Symposium, held in Las Vegas from 17-19 September.
Organised by the Boutique & Lifestyle Lodging Association (BLLA), the event is designed to inspire the boutique industry with lively panel discussions on innovative topics, and this year sees new ideas such as floating hotels and luxury tents become hot talking points.
Taking place in the new SLS Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, the conference has become a key date on the diary for hoteliers all over the world. This year it kicks off with an awards gala dinner, where the winners of the Boutique Lifestyle Hospitality Awards will be crowned.
New for 2014, key industry executives representing a range of boutique and lifestyle businesses will take to the stage to debate best practises for exactly what today’s business and leisure travellers are demanding.
Additionally, 6 companies who represent customer-facing technologies will take centre stage. Also as a new addition, BLLA is inviting the big chains to discuss their boutique brands such as Marriott’s Autograph Collection.
Some of the confirmed names participating as speakers include: Drew Patterson, CEO & Co-Founder Room 77; Shirley Tafoya – TravelZoo President, Guy Young, Uniworld Boutique River Cruises CEO, and Rafat Ali, SKIFT Founder & CEO.
Frances Kiradjian, BLLA founder and chairwoman, stated: “The 2014 Symposium is going to be extraordinary and the support from fresh, senior staff members who work for some of the world’s best boutique brands such as Virgin, Gansevoort, Montage, Hampshire, Commune, sbe/SLS and others who are speaking, is fantastic.”
