Bath Boutique Stays, a small business in the luxury holiday accommodation rental industry, has been chosen to feature in a new guide, launched by the Business is GREAT Britain campaign, to share their most invaluable piece of advice that has contributed towards their business’ success.
Marcus Whittington, director of Bath Boutique Stays, is one of 34 UK small business owners to feature in the Guide, entitled The GREAT way to grow: Small businesses share their advice, to inspire and support fellow small businesses to grow.
Leading entrepreneurs working with the Business is GREAT campaign have stressed the importance of businesses sharing their experiences, hints and tips.
In response, the Business is GREAT Britain campaign is running a ‘pass it on’ activity throughout March, designed to encourage businesses to share their pearl of business wisdom with the wider business community.
Marcus Whittington said: “We’re very proud of the business we have built and grown, and to pass on our most valuable piece of advice as part of the Business is GREAT campaign is fantastic.”
Bath Boutique Stays is supporting the campaign, to encourage other businesses in the UK to do the same.
All 34 businesses involved in the Guide have received Government support from the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills or UK Trade & Investment, from help with exporting to new markets and tax relief for innovation, to hiring apprentices to grow their teams. This month, the campaign highlights the benefits that sharing good advice can bring and the Government support available for small businesses to help them grow.
The activity will culminate at a business event held at Gatwick Airport on the 23 March, where small business owners, entrepreneurs and industry experts will come together to learn more about international growth and export opportunities.
Business Minister Matthew Hancock said: “Coming from a small business background I understand how important it is to learn from failure – as well as success. Making sure that every small business can access the advice and support they need is an important part of our plan to make Britain the best place in the world to start and grow a business.”
