Brighton’s original boutique, Hotel Pelirocco is celebrating its 15th birthday this year and to commemorate is hosting a series of events at the venue on the 15th day of each month.

Opening its doors in 2000, the quirky hotel’s milestone birthday celebrations will last throughout the year and each event ties in with one of the hotel’s 19 themed bedrooms.

Hosted in the bar area, so far the boutique has seen Betty Paige take the spotlight in honour of 1950’s style room, ‘Betties Boudoir’ in January, while February saw a Dolly Parton impersonator take centre stage in celebrate of the ‘Dollywood’ room that is reminiscent of a Kitsch country cabin.

The newly decorated punk room ‘Pretty Vacant’ became the muse for March’s festivities and visitors were asked to take part in a Sid and Nancy look-a-like contest.

The Pelirocco opened its doors in 2000 and quickly created strong artistic and rock n roll credentials,” says manager Marko Gibson who has been at the hotel since the beginning.

“Entrants are able to take advantage of half price rooms on the night of each competition too as a thank you for celebrating with us.”
