Burglars sentenced for luxury hotel raids in Surrey

 A burglar who plundered rooms at two luxury hotels in Surrey for valuable items has been sent to prison, according to a report on Get Surrey.

Phillip Brown, 47, of Dawson Close in Woolwich, south London, was jailed for two years last Friday (February 21), after raiding hotels in Charlwood and Bagshot.

Accomplice Lee Burmingham, 33, of Delne Crescent in Blackheath, south London, who appeared alongside Brown at Guildford Crown Court, was sentenced to 10 months in jail, suspended for two years.

The pair pleaded guilty to charges of burglary and theft during an earlier hearing, held at the same court on January 23.

The court heard how Brown raided the two hotels between August 1 and October 22 last year – the latter offence also being committed by Burmingham.

The pair broke into rooms and stole wallets and purses containing cash and bank cards, as well as jewellery and small electrical items such as iPads.
