The Grosvenor Estate’s Chester Grosvenor Hotel is now part of Bespoke Hotels, after the brand officially took over the management of the hotel on April 13.

The new arrangement follows the retirement of Jonathan Slater, who was managing director of the Chester Grosvenor for more than 30 years, at the end of March.

The Grosvenor Estate continues to own the freehold of the hotel on behalf of the Grosvenor family which Bespoke now operates on a long leasehold basis.

The five-star luxury hotel will continue to offer the same level of excellence that has come to be expected from the establishment.

Haydn Fentum, chairman of Bespoke Hotels, commented: “Bespoke is proud to be working with the Grosvenor Estate and representing The Chester Grosvenor. Our team will ensure there is no change in the superb service guests can expect from the hotel and their stay. At the same time we expect to see the business of the Chester Grosvenor benefit from the operational and marketing expertise Bespoke brings, particularly with regards to the Bespoke network of hotels, as well as The Chester Grosvenor’s stylish little sister property, The Hotel Gotham, which has just opened in Manchester.”

Speaking from the Grosvenor Estate, executive trustee Jeremy Newsum, said “We are pleased that Bespoke Hotels will continue to maintain the service for which the Chester Grosvenor is known and we look forward to a positive long term relationship with the group.”
