Chewton Glen & ME London strike gold at global hotel awards


Chewton Glen and ME London both scooped two awards at this year’s International Hotel Awards, winning the title of Best Large Hotel UK and Best Spa Hotel, Best City Hotel UK and Best City International Hotel respectively.

The awards celebrate a total of 17 hotels in categories ranging from Best International Small Hotel to Best International Spa Hotel and saw luxury properties from around the world celebrated for their excellence.

Relais and Chateaux hotel, Chewton Glen will commemorate 50 years this year, and has become known as one of the top hotels worldwide since it first opened its doors in 1966.

It is still independently owned and boasts 70 bedrooms and the 12 new treehouse suites.

The International Hotel Awards also saw ME London’s sister property, ME Ibiza, win the Best Resort Hotel Spain award.

ME London is the flagship property for the ME by Meliá brand and is the first UK Foster + Partners’ hotel. The hotel has 157 bedrooms 16 suites, a popular Radio Rooftop Bar with panoramic views of London’s skyline, plus an STK restaurant and Cucina Asellina restaurant.
