Five-star Hampshire boutique hotel Chewton Glen has strengthened its management team with the appointment of a new operations director and a new general manager.
Incoming general manager Andrew Cook, who will join the management team at Chewton Glen on June 6, joins the company from Diamonds La Gemma Dell ‘Est and Diamonds Star of The East luxury resorts in Zanzibar, Tanzania, where he held the position of general manager since 2014.
Stembridge said: “Andrew’s wealth of experience in luxury worldwide resorts will undoubtedly complement that of the existing team and will enable him to continue to enhance and develop the standards and service we offer to our guests and ensure that Chewton Glen continues to set the standard for country house hotels throughout the world.”
A further addition to the 350-strong team at Chewton Glen is Adam Dyke, who joins the property as operations director in mid-July.
Formerly general manager at The Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa in Bolton Abbey, Dyke will be responsible for all operational departments at Chewton Glen.
Dyke original trained as a chef before moving on to manage fine dining restaurants and high volume establishments in Yorkshire and the North East, and then into senior management roles in properties including the Pittodrie House in Aberdeenshire, the Wynyard Hall Hotel in the Tees Valley and the Yorebridge House in Bainbridge North Yorkshire.
