The Chocolate Boutique Hotel is the world’s first chocolate themed hotel.
It has become popular for special birthday treats, girlie get-togethers, hen dos and parties, and now owner and chocolatier Gerry Wilton, who first found success in the UK with his chocolate fountain business, is putting on chocolate shoe and handbag masterclasses.
“People often tell me that shoes and handbags made out of chocolate are every woman’s ultimate fantasy,” says Gerry. "Could a girl want for more? Just in case, we’re throwing in a glass of bubbly too."
At the new masterclasses, wannabe fashionistas can learn how to create their own edible versions of Jimmy Choos complete with matching bag and satisfy their craving for chocolate, killer heels and must-have clutches all at the same time.
As well as finding out about the history of chocolate, budding chocolatiers can also learn how to temper chocolate before creating and decorating a chocolate shoe with matching handbag to take home in a beautiful display box.
The sessions cost £89 per person and are held throughout the year at the Chocolate Boutique Hotel, Bournemouth, which was recently declared one of the most scrumptious attractions in the world for chocoholics by Fox News.
Last year, the hotel was also named one of the best ‘girliest hotel getaways’ in the world by CNN Travel and described by the Sunday Times Travel magazine as one of the top six novelty hotels worldwide.
