A hotel that closed recently has been sold to new owners in a transaction marketed by Christie + Co, who are now hoping to breathe new life into the business.
The County Hotel in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire has been a fixture in the town for a number of years and was put on the market after owner Bill McBride took the decision to retire after running the business since 1994.
The Grade-II listed 15-bed hotel, complete with restaurant, bar and lounge, has been sold to experienced operators Peter Welling & Yvonne Mulvhill, who are hoping to refresh the business and expand on the existing facilities.
John Coggins, business agent at Christie & Co’s Cardiff office handled the sale said: “I’m delighted that we’ve been able to achieve a sale on the County Hotel and I’m confident that Peter & Yvonne will breathe new life into the property and make a success of the venture.
“Due to the prominent position of the County Hotel, we saw a numbers of bids being tabled for the property and the business, which is a testament to the popularity of this kind of lifestyle business in Pembrokeshire.”
