City centre boutique in Perth goes on the market

Perth’s New County Hotel, a boutique in the city centre, has gone on the market with Colliers International for £550,000.

The 23-bedroom hotel is located on the corner of one of the main arterial routes leading into the centre of Perth from Glasgow and features a lounge bar, the established Opus One Restaurant, as well as Cafe 22 alongside a small function room.

The business is historically strong, catering to both hotel residents and the local and business community.

With a turnover of £580,000, the business has suffered through a legacy of debt and difficult trading conditions in recent times, which has necessitated the administration.

Alistair Letham, a director with selling agent Colliers International, commented: “Given the credentials of the New County Hotel and its excellent location in central Perth, we are confident that a buyer for this well-known and popular business will be found. The key is focusing on the trading and the continuity of business, while a buyer is sought for the property.”

Colliers International is inviting offers around £550,000 for the New County Hotel, 20-30 County Place, Perth, Tayside, PH2 8EE. For further information, please visit:
