Hotel chain Classic Lodges is ramping up the development at its property on the Isle of Man, as the foundations are laid for the building to double in size.
Construction work has now begun at Ramsey Park Hotel with 30 new bedrooms and a function room with space for 250 people all under development.
Having opened in 2012 under the Classic Lodges ‘Partner’ hotels umbrella, the success of the 30-bedroom hotel has prompted the expansion plans.
Richard Grime, managing director of the Classic Lodges chain of hotels, says the development of Ramsey Park represents a multi-million pound investment by the Group into the local community:
“We are thrilled that Ramsay Park has been such a tremendous success. The Isle of Man has proven to be an incredibly popular destination over the last few years, especially with the growth of the staycation.
“This development will enable the hotel to hold more weddings and become an even more integral part of the community. We are full to capacity on many occasions throughout the year, so doubling the number of rooms will help us to accommodate even more visitors to the island.”
