A boutique hotel in Colchester, Essex has completed its expansion with the help of NatWest, redeveloping a derelict building next door and adding seven en-suite bedrooms.
The North Hill Hotel, owned by Rob Brown who bought the property six years ago, currently features 24 bedrooms and a 100-cover restaurant.
The hotel has now purchased and redeveloped an adjacent building to create a further seven en-suite bedrooms, an expansion of the restaurant as well as a new function room.
NatWest provided a substantial loan for the project to reach completion.
Speaking to East Anglia Daily Times, Mr Brown said: “This is a real celebration for us as we complete this major building project.
“As an independent business, and as a local employer, it is important that we invest in our future – we are very much here to stay.”
Ian Monaghan, senior relationship manager and leisure specialist for NatWest, said: “We are proud to support Rob and the North Hill team through this exciting period of growth.
“This period of growth will further strengthen the company’s position in the Colchester leisure scene.”
