The current owners of Combe House in Devon are preparing to say their final goodbyes to guests, as the couple prepared to pass the property over to the very capable hands of The Pig Group.
Ken and Ruth Hunt are gearing up to close the doors of the picturesque hotel in Devon for one last time, after 18 years at the property.
In November, the couple will travel to Australia to be closer to their family and pass the mantle to Home Grown Hotels, who will develop the group’s fifth The Pig hotel.
The hotly-anticipated hotel is expected to re-open in mid-2016 after a major £9m refurbishment to transform the property.
The Hunts said of their move: “We would like to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your wonderful friendships, both past and present. We are taking with us 18 years of exceptional memories.
“We wish you all the very best in your futures.”
When The Pig Devon opens next year, it will join the hugely successful, The Pig on the beach, The Pig in the wall, The Pig near Bath and the original Pig, as part of the Home Grown Hotels portfolio.
