Corinthia gears up for summer with new Garden Lounge launch

The iconic Corinthia Hotel London has launched a new Garden Lounge just in time for summer, in a bid to attract those looking to dine al fresco and host small social gatherings.

The new area within the hotel has been designed to wow, with a dazzling array of gold, cream, terracotta and grey handcrafted mosaics by French artist Mathilde Jonquiere decorated on columns and plinths, while a glass canopy provides cover.

Two fire places are located at either end of the Garden Lounge, complete with circular tables with umbrellas and chairs.

A well-stocked Humidor offers over 53 varieties of cigars and a new bar area offers a spirits and wine menu, including 62 varieties of whisky. There is also an all-day dining menu, with a selection of meals and snacks available throughout the day and late into the evening.

Well known female cigar sommelier, Paola Paolillo, will oversee both the Garden Lounge and The Lobby Lounge. Paola is a Master of Havana Cigars, of which there are only 16 in the UK.

The Garden Lounge is the only outdoor space designed by the world-renowned David Collins Studio in London and is open Monday through Sunday.

Simon Rawlings, creative director, David Collins Studio says: “A living bar, intricate mosaic art, a new signature palette, makes the Garden Lounge a wonderful outdoor space in the centre of London, and gives the Corinthia Hotel a very special environment in which to socialise.”
