Cumbrian hospitality supplier steps up its UK reach with new London-based sales hire

Cumbrian hospitality supplier Out of Eden is widening its reach after appointing Mike Carney, a new sales director, who will be based in London and will target hotels in the south.

Carney will divide his time working in London, for the South Cumbrian firm and their newly acquired sister company Euroquilt.

He previously worked for London’s Delbanco Meyer and Co as trading director for their bed linen division and the successful start-up Emu electric bikes.

His new role at the Kirkby Stephen business, will primarily include caring for Out of Eden’s existing London based clients and developing new relationships from within the capital city’s thriving hospitality sector.

Mike Gannon, managing director of Out of Eden said: “The move to appoint Mike is in line with our plans to further expand our business. He has an excellent track record in this field and is someone we really trust to represent both Out of Eden and Euroquilt on the national scene.”

Carney said: “I’m extremely excited to start working for Out of Eden. It is a company that holds many similar values to my own and it’s a great feeling to be directly involved in the growth of one of Cumbria’s most exciting businesses.”

Out of Eden is a hospitality trade supply company, with clients ranging from the biggest players in the hotel market to: cruise liners, B&B’s, restaurants, offices, universities and even the military.
