A boutique hotel in Dorking is opening its doors to unveil the results of its £6 million refurbishment.
De Vere Wotton House, part of the Principal Hotel Company, will hold an official reveal of its new look in a launch party today.
The 13 acre, 111 bedroom stately home has an indoor pool, gym and tennis courts and completed its overhaul in December, a year after it began.
As well as the installation of 16 new bedrooms and suites, each existing room has been painted and has had new furniture.
The Evelyn Suite, a function room, has been fully restored to capture its original grandeur and the hotel’s 1877 Restaurant has also been renovated.
Caroline Morrone, general manager of De Vere Wotton House, told the Surrey Mirror: “The real focus was bringing the great mansion house back to being an amazing property and that was the focal point.”
Wotton House has 20 function rooms, including the Wotton Suite, able to hold 200 guests. During the refurbishment, the hotel remained open to guests as 15 bedrooms were worked on every six weeks, keeping disruption to a minimum.
