Deadline approaching for MI Aspiring Leaders Diploma

There is just one week to go to apply for a Master Innholders Aspiring Leaders Diploma (MIALD) 2016.

Junior managers, senior supervisors and heads of departments working in the hotel industry across the UK are being encouraged to apply before the final deadline of Friday 19th February.
Applicants must be nominated by a senior colleague.

The MIALD sees students study for an internationally and industry recognised Level 3 Award from the Institute of Leadership & Management, learning through a combination of group workshops, private study, project work, best practice visits and guest speakers with specialist experience.

Taking place over a 12-month period, the study sessions begin during April 2016 and are broken down into two-day sessions, giving students the opportunity to learn more about themselves, their business and the industry to develop themselves further.

A past graduate, Jonathan Scoble, C&B beverage manager at Grosvenor House Hotel, said: “The experiences that surround the course are exceptional. Each hotel you visit puts you in the customer shoes and being able to talk to some of the UK’s greatest general managers is inspiring.”

Some financial support for the course is provided by the Master Innholders Charitable Trust, with the employer of each successful applicant required to contribute £1,500 towards the overall cost of the programme.
