Thursday November 5 has been announced as the deadline for offers on Headley Park Hotel in Hampshire, with Colliers International encouraging interested parties to submit an offer over the guide price of £2.5m.
The 24-bedroom hotel is set within 40 acres, including lawns, lakes and woodland and the building itself comprises a function room, restaurant, bar and staff accommodation.
Constructed between 1884 and 1891, the property has been extended by various owners over the years. The building has had multi uses throughout its history, first being operated as a community centre, retirement home and then a sports and social club.
More recently, the hotel operation was broadened to include hosting weddings, training courses and music festivals. The business closed in early 2015.
Paul Barrasford, director of Hotels Agency, Colliers International, said: “The recent marketing of the property has resulted in a great deal of interest from a broad range of prospective buyers. There are a number of options for new owners either to reopen it as a hotel or it could be redeveloped for alternative use such as residential, educational or healthcare use. Whilst the bid deadline is just a few weeks away, we are still receiving new enquiries and conducting open viewing days. Newly interested parties should contact us to receive further information on the bidding process.”
