Claridge’s has confirmed that this year’s Christmas tree will be created by fashion designers Dolce and Gabbana, long-time friends and guests of the hotel.
For the fifth year running, the luxury establishment in the heart of Knightsbridge has invited a favourite guest to design a special Christmas tree in their own style to become an attraction in the hotel’s lobby.
This year’s tree will be surrounded by a magical enchanted forest and decorated with woodland animals such as foxes, deer and squirrels, all gathered together near the fire. Adorning the trees will be hundreds of hand-painted blown glass spheres.
The Claridge’s Christmas tree has long been a festive landmark, drawing visitors and locals alike to marvel at its design, and this year’s look will be unveiled on November 19th.
Thomas Kochs, Claridge’s general manager, said, “We are delighted to invite Domenico and Stefano to spread their special magic in our lobby once again. Our guests and staff loved their tree so much last year that we just know they will create something equally memorable and enchanting this time. Both Claridge’s and Dolce & Gabbana are synonymous with timeless glamour, innovative spirit and traditional family values that are so important during Christmas.”
