House Spa at Dormy House Hotel near Broadway has been chosen as one of the five best spas in Britain by the Good Spa Guide.
The Guide rates establishments on a scale of one to five ‘Bubbles’, assessing a range of aspects within a spa, including cleanliness, facilities, treatments and food and drink on offer.
This year, the UK’s only national spa rating system also launched a new tier of excellence on which venues would be judged. ‘Five Bubble Luxury’ was awarded to just five spas in Britain, and House Spa was one of those lucky enough to be recognised.
“The new Five Bubble Luxury award recognises spas that have shone under the spotlight of the expert assessment by the Good Spa Guide Spa Spies,” said the judges. “From spectacular facilities, soothing and enriching treatments, award-winning cuisine to faultless customer service, Five Bubble Luxury Spas have gone above and beyond to achieve spa excellence.
Daphne Metland, who founded the Good Spa Guide said: “The spa industry is growing from strength to strength and we wanted to recognise the spas that are leading the way.
“Dormy House is like having your very own country house to escape to. It is a lovely combination of luxury and informality. The spa facilities are excellent.”
Spa manager Zoe Douglas said she was excited that House Spa was already receiving national recognition, despite having only launching six months ago.
“I am so proud of this award, which is a reflection of the hard work of the many people who created and work at House Spa,” she said.
“Guests and members tell us that our spa is an oasis in their busy lives and we are thrilled that the Good Spa Guide has given us its very highest award.”
The other four spas to gain Five Bubble Luxury status were Lucknam Park in Wiltshire, Pennyhill Park in Surrey, Rockliffe Hall in County Durham and The Vineyard in Berkshire.
