AB Hotels, which consists of Sopwell House in St Albans and The Arch in London, has appointed David Petitt as the group’s new marketing manager.
Petitt joins from Elite Hotels, a collection of four hotels across the UK, where he was for the last 14 years.
He will now oversee all marketing activities across both the 128-bed Sopwell House and 82-bed The Arch in the capital, owned by the Bejerano family and headed up by brothers Rafi and Alon.
His role at Elite Hotels meant Petitt was responsible for streamlining all marketing at Tynley Hall, Ashdown Park, Luton Hoo and The Grand in Eastbourne, the four hotels that make up the portfolio.
Now he will be tasked with taking forward the AB Hotels brand ahead of some new exciting developments for the group.
Speaking of his appointment, Petitt said: “I am thrilled to join AB Hotels as Head of Marketing. The Arch London and Sopwell House are stunning properties, and the plans to develop the brand further means it is a very exciting time for me to join the team.”
Company director Rafi Bejerano added: “We’re delighted that David has chosen to join AB Hotels. He is vastly experienced and an excellent marketer as well as suiting our brand with his caring nature, positive outlook and dynamic ideas.”
The Arch first opened in 2008 and is home to Hunter 486 Restaurant and Bar, named after the 1950s dialling code for Marylebone, headed up by head chef, Gary Durrant.
Sopwell House is a four-star boutique hotel, home to two restaurants, a conservatory bar, a cocktail lounge, a spa with a 14.5 metre swimming pool and a gym.
