One of the country’s leading juice distributors has reported a 40% growth across the business, thanks to the rise in demand for consumers to ‘eat well and live well’.

Archie Sinclair, founder of iSqueeze Ltd which distributes Citrocasa in the UK, told Boutique Hotelier that the company saw a huge increase last year, producing 50 tonnes of juice a week, as the retail trend for wellness helped to drive business.

Citrocasa, exhibiting this week at Hotelympia, has found huge success with supermarkets in Europe and launched its medium-sized juicer three months ago.

The company is now looking for growth in the hotel sector, showcasing how the machines can be used throughout the day and not just during breakfast service.

“People forget that juice is a profit sector,” says Sinclair, “and orange juice can be sold at lunch and dinner to bring in extra revenue.”

Some of the company’s biggest clients include service stations and convenience stores, plus Center Parcs, who Sinclair says ‘loves’ the machines, which can be rented or sold depending on the size of operation.

The Citrocasa can be displayed behind the counter for staff to access during afternoon service or out the front for customers to self-serve at breakfast.
