Fairmont St Andrews ‘in active talks’ on sale

The Fairmont St Andrews could soon change hands, the agent handling the sale has told Boutique Hotelier.

CBRE’s Paul Collins, who is marketing the property on behalf of owners Apollo Real Estate Advisors, said:

“We are in active negotiations with a number of parties and anticipate a sale shortly.”

The size of the 520 acre estate which has planning permission for more than 70 new holiday homes and the popularity of the hotel’s two courses – one of which, The Torrance, will be again hosting the Scottish Seniors this August – have attracted a considerable amount of interest from buyers seeking to capitalise on the Ryder Cup which will be held at Gleneagles in Perthshire later this year.
