A new ‘secret’ hotel has opened its doors, with hidden entrances and secret cocktails for guests, in the top three floors above Liverpool’s The Shankly Hotel.
The new venture from Signature Living has been inspired by an Alice in Wonderland ‘fantasy’ theme, and comes complete with secret rooms and surprise features, such as a special clock that contains cocktails with ‘drink me’ labels.
There are also hidden rooms behind a sliding wooden door, which can be accessed by a finger print scanner.
Along the hallway, the roof is covered in furniture and the plush pads have fully-fitted kitchens, double whirlpool baths and flat-screen TVs with Apple TV.
Each bedroom has a number of double beds and has been designed in a bid to cater to large groups such as hen and stag dos or family parties.
The hotel has been simply named the Signature Living Hotel and when all phases of the work have been completed, will have its own separate VIP entrance and 20-man lifts to cater for all the guests.
Combined with The Shankly Hotel, the two properties will be able to sleep around 700 people.
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, Lawrence Kenwright , co-founder of Signature Living, said: “The Signature Living hotel is set to be a fantastic new addition to our expanding accommodation portfolio. The rooms, which cater for large groups, are unique and have been influenced by a particular theme so we are able to create the ultimate experience for guests.
“It will be an incredibly popular destination for national and international visitors to Liverpool. Although physically connected the Shankly hotel , these rooms have their own VIP reception area and guests will be wowed by some cutting edge technology which will be a first for the city. I think it is features like this which makes the development stand out.”
