Farncombe Estate near Broadway in the Cotswolds has announced the appointment of Tom Aspey as general manager of its two hotels, the award-winning boutique hotel Dormy House and its newly opened private lodge offering, Foxhill Manor.
Aspey joins the popular venue from Soho House Group, which he had been a part of since 2010, and has all the experience required to manage a multifaceted project that includes not just the two hotels, but also a spa, four F&B outlets and other Estate activities.
In Aspey’s previous roles, he worked at Café Boheme & Boheme Kitchen & Bar, followed by his first hotel operation, Highroad House in Chiswick, where he was responsible for 14 bedrooms, a members club, events space and European brasserie.
In September 2013 he was promoted to general manager of Dean Street Town House Hotel and oversaw its 39 bedrooms and all-day dining operations.
Prior to this, Aspey worked for the Savoy Group, Lygon Arms in Broadway, Axis restaurant at No.1 The Aldwych and he also ran his own gastropub in North London.
With his extensive experience in food and beverage, Aspey will be key to driving the success of the food side of the business across the estate.

Dormy House is a 38-bedroom hotel and spa which underwent a complete transformation before reopening in August 2013. The latest addition to the estate is the Grade-II listed Foxhill Manor, an eight-bedroom private house hotel which only opened in March this year.
