Boutique group Firmdale opened Ham Yard Hotel in London’s Soho this week taking its portfolio of UK properties to eight.
The new build features 91 bedrooms and 24 residential apartments with interiors designed by Firmdale co-owner Kit Kemp.
Hotel manager Laura Sharpe will also oversee the group’s first Soholistic spa and wellness area equipped with a hypoxic chamber which enables elite athletes to undertake altitude training.
A spokeswoman told Boutique Hotelier that as the group regularly attracts high profile guests, the facility can also be converted into a private gym.
The food and beverage operation is overseen by Sarah Williams along with group executive head chef Robin Read. Read has created a menu focusing on simple dishes showcasing British produce which will be available all day from the restaurant which has 102 covers inside and a further 50 seats on the terrace outside.
Rack rate for a 33 sqm room starts at £372.00 on a room-only basis.
The group also runs the Crosby Street Hotel in New York
