The Lygon Arms in Broadway in the Cotswolds has now open its doors, following a multi-million pound renovation that has seen new bedrooms introduced, two new restaurants open and the launch of a new spa.
The 16th century coaching inn, formerly owned by The Hotel Collection, was acquired in February 2016 by London & Regional Properties Limited, who also owns iconic hotels Chewton Glen and Cliveden.
Since then it has been undergoing a refurbishment with 86 new bedrooms and suites now unveiled, plus a refreshed spa and the launch of two new culinary experiences; Lygon Bar & Grill and Lygon Wine Bar.
The bedrooms have been designed by Anita Rosato Interior Design and have been increased from 78 to 86 with three signature luxury suites and six courtyard suites inspired by famed past guests such as King Charles I.
Another chapter of development saw the Lygon Bar & Grill and Lygon Wine Bar open earlier this year while the new Lygon Spa has now opened. The hotel’s public areas have also now been overhauled.
General manager Graeme Nesbitt: “Our team has worked alongside the best talent to create a vision that celebrates and brings to life the property’s charm and long-standing heritage, and above all, ensures our guest experience is truly memorable.”
