The Fleece Hotel has seen a major redevelopment by Richmond-based Within Reach Developments Ltd and York-based Great Potential Ltd has been appointed as operator of the new hotel.

Peter Coulson, managing director of Within Reach Developments, said: “Our ambition since acquisition is for the Fleece Hotel, as a totally redeveloped Victorian Hotel, to deliver the best in comfort, high-spec bedrooms, quality restaurant, café-bar and lounge, in luxuriously furnished surroundings and with top-class personal service.

“We are delighted to welcome the new management team whose task is now to turn that ambition into reality.”

First job on the agenda will be to recruit a new team and buy in all the supplies needed for the opening in around three months time.

The new hotel will bring around 20 new jobs to Richmond and the owners expect the hotel to be a major contributor to the town and area’s economy.
