Opening date: 2017
A new four-star hotel is on schedule to open in Cambridge spring 2017 and will become the latest addition to the O’Callaghan Hotels Group.
‘The Tamburlaine’ will be part of the new city quarter being developed around Cambridge station by Brookgate and will serve as a ‘gathering place for the community’, when it opens next year. The hotel will be home to 155 bedrooms and suites, a restaurant, bar and standalone café, as well as a selection of meeting rooms.
So far, artist Jyll Bradley has been commissioned to produce the public art, which will feature at the front of the hotel, using drawings and light box works to engage with identity and place.
“We are very excited to be opening our first UK Hotel in Cambridge, in the heart of this vibrant and exciting quarter, CB1″ says O’Callaghan Hotels Group CEO Bryan O’Callaghan.
“The Tamburlaine will be a great addition to the community and we hope to establish it as much a place to meet up for locals as it will be for business and leisure travellers. Our reputation has been built on friendly, high quality service for the discerning visitor and we are very much looking forward to catering for the UK market with The Tamburlaine.”
