Five-star Edinburgh boutique appoints new general manager


Nira Caledonia, the five-star boutique hotel in Edinburgh, has announced the appointment of Chris Lynch as the hotel’s new general manager.

Lynch brings more than decade of experience in to the role across various leadership positions within the hospitality industry and will now take the reins at the stylish 19th century boutique hotel.

Lynch takes over from Rory MacAleece, who has been Nira Caledonia’s GM since 2013.

He has worked at many hotels across Edinburgh, gaining vital experience in property management, financial performance, guest satisfaction, and the planning, marketing, co-ordinating and administrating of hotel services, particularly in food and beverage and team management.

Chris Lynch commented on his new role: “I am extremely excited to take on this position and look forward to imparting my hospitality experience and passion, leading by example and sharing a creative vision with my team.

“Furthermore, enhancing the customer journey and overall operations of Nira Caledonia will be a key priority for me.”
