St Moritz has announced the appointment of two new team members to strengthen the boutique hotel in Cornwall’s position in the marketplace.
Martin Clubbe has joined the hotel as general manager, while David Williams comes on board as head chef.
Clubbe most recently headed up the opening team at the five-star Gainsborough Bath Spa hotel in Bath when it launched in June this year.
Previously he worked for Macdonald Hotels and Resorts for 7 years, where he was responsible for the repositioning of The Macdonald Bath Spa Hotel.
Prior to this, he was in charge of the Manor House Hotel in Castle Combe, where he took the rundown three-star 20 bedrooms hotel to an award-winning 60-bed five-star country house hotel.
St Moritz is also welcoming new head chef David Williams to the Cornwall operation, who joins from his role as executive chef across Harbour Hotel properties in Salcombe, St Ives and Sidmouth.

Williams has almost 25 years’ experience in the sector, boasting stints working alongside top names such as Joël Robuchon, Marc Meneau, Gordon Ramsay and Heston Blumenthal.
At St Moritz, Williams will continue to build on the hotel’s reputation for fine dining and the creation of dishes using the finest local produce.
