Luxury boutique hotel, Flemings Mayfair has revealed plans to launch The Drawing Room, a new stylish setting for afternoon tea, when it officially reopens it doors in 2016 after an extensive £14m makeover.
The Drawing Room will host a selection of afternoon tea options, from the traditional to the hotel’s signature Ruinart Rosé Royal afternoon tea, in the new space, as well as offering a brunch menu earlier in the day.
The new room will be part of the luxury hotel’s £14m refurbishment and is set to be transformed into a ‘luxury haven that still captures the essence of a traditional Georgian Regency drawing room’.
High ceilings and large sash windows will open the space up to natural light, while the room retains its original fireplace from 1851 when the hotel was first established. Artwork in the room has been created by painter Eileen Schaer.
Flemings Mayfair’s refurbishment includes 129 new-look bedrooms, suites and apartments, a new bar and a new restaurant by Michelin-starred chef Shaun Rankin due to open in spring 2016.
